Why is UltraQuit better than the other methods?
UltraQuit was created by smokers for smokers and is the only method backed by research and personal experience that combines the principals of several proven quit smoking methods into one modern easy to use computer program. There are three aspects of smoking and UltraQuit is the only method that attacks them all.
Physical:
UltraQuit allows you to reduce your smoking at your own pace without any medication, herbs, or nicotine replacement. Your physical addiction to nicotine will slowly and methodically vanish.
Mental:
UltraQuit utilizes a quit step monitor that provides the basis of the system. Each of the 16 steps are simple and easy on their own and build upon one another to help you reach your final goal of not smoking. These steps remind you of how much you smoke, why you started to smoke, why you continue to smoke, how and when you smoke, your choice of brand that you smoke, where you smoke, your look when you smoke, your smoking past, present, and future. These steps allow you to mentally release your desire to smoke.
Psychological:
UltraQuit is designed to help you keep a record of your habit and nicotine addiction, and show you in a graphic way, just how well the system is working for you. By looking at the graph and seeing the decline, your brain is affected in ways other than just "thinking" or "knowing" that it is working. It provides irrefutable proof, that once seen, is encouraging and reinforcing to your progress.

Most other methods only attack one aspect, the physical addiction, and most of those simply replace the delivery system of the addictive drug nicotine. See Method Comparison Table.

How long will it take?
UltraQuit is the only method that does not force you to a set schedule. You are in control of your quit. Some have reported quitting in only a couple of weeks, while others will take longer. What is most important is that you are successful and comfortable with your quit.

What are my chances of success?
Based on the number of sales and refund requests, a 10 to 1 ratio over the first five years and less in the last several years, we estimate the success rate is well over 90 percent. No other method can claim such a high success rate. UltraQuit keeps getting better.

What is included with UltraQuit?

Can UltraQuit be used by more than one person?
Yes. UltraQuit allows you to add multiple smokers into the system. Each smoker has his or her own data file for storage of individual information.

Do you offer a refund if UltraQuit does not work for me?
Of course. UltraQuit offers a 30 day money back guarantee from the distributor, Kagi. All that I ask is for a copy of your data file and a brief explanation of why it did not work for you. I will use this information to improve the program. Perhaps you will come back to UltraQuit after trying other methods, to a new and improved version.

What computers will UltraQuit work on?
UltraQuit works on all computer platforms that support Java. On the download page, I have included the installers for Apple’s Macintosh OSX, Microsoft’s Windows and Linux operating systems. UltraQuit now installs and runs on Microsoft Windows Vista.

I get an error when I try to start UltraQuit on Windows?
We are no longer including the Java VM with the UltraQuit installation so that you can use the version recommended for your version of Windows. The executable checks for a JVM at start up. If no JVM is found, it will direct your web browser to the official Java download site. We have noticed that in some cases, older versions (1.4 and earlier) and incorrectly installed versions of Java will cause the UltraQuit launcher to fail and display an error message. The fix is to remove older versions of Java. Use the Control Panel Add or Remove Program Files to un-install Java 1.4 and earlier. If you do not see Java in the list, look for a JavaSoft directory in C:\Program Files or search for Java on your computer and remove older versions.

Why do you not list your E-mail address correctly? What do you mean by remove the '_NOSPAM' from the address?

Internet robots collect all E-mail addresses from web pages for selling to spammers and others who buy mail lists for solicitation. We started to receive hundreds of junk E-mail daily and it became impossible to distinguish legitimate customer mail from junk mail. Therefore we had to change the addresses and disguise it from working correctly without manual editing.

We do want to hear from you and apologize for the slight inconvenience. Just click the mail link at the bottom of every web page on this site and remove the letters "_NOSPAM" from the address inserted in your mail program, shown here in bold caps.

'Email_NOSPAM@UltraQuit.com'

We may have to change the address on a regular basis to stay one step ahead of the spammers so always use the mail link to contact us.
